EToro, one of the world's biggest social investment platforms, said today that it has partnered with OpenPayd, a notable banking-as-a-service provider, to develop an embedded financing offering across Europe.

According to the information provided by eToro, the agreement will make eToro Money accounts accessible throughout Europe. In addition, it has enabled the platform for social investment to issue Euro Virtual IBANs. The agreement will enable eToro clients to make deposits and withdrawals from their eToro Money accounts in a safe and convenient manner.

EToro noted that the service is currently available in twelve countries and is being rolled out throughout Europe.

EToro's Director of Payments, Kreeson Thathiah, explains, "This relationship is an example of embedded finance in action; it represents a big evolution in how we build innovative financial services." "It has been a delight to work with OpenPayd, whose platform and people have accommodated all of our needs. With each customer obtaining their own virtual IBAN and access to the real-time European payment rails, SEPA Instant, we can guarantee that payments are transferred when, how, and to whom they should be."

EToro stated earlier this month that the company has acquired preliminary permission from Abu Dhabi.

OpenPayd's chief executive officer, Iana Dimitrova, believes that embedded financial services are the future for enterprises seeking expansion in the European region.

"eToro is revolutionizing the global trading community, which is why we're happy to be powering its offering across Europe. We firmly think that incorporating financial services in this manner fosters corporate growth, allowing any organization to develop new products, optimize processes, and manage global payments. This is the future of financial services, according to Dimitrova.

OpenPayd announced Barry O'Sullivan's appointment as the company's Head of Payments Infrastructure in March 2022.
