Ecuador's oil output has decreased by more than half due to anti-government rallies, the energy ministry said Sunday.

President Guillermo Lasso, whose relationship with the national assembly worsened during the marches, has proposed concessions like lowering security measures, subsidized fertilizers, and debt forgiveness. His government met with indigenous organizations on Saturday.

"Oil output is low. Today's numbers reveal a 50 p "Energy ministry: "rcent" In 14 days of protests, Ecuador has lost $120 million.

The government stated vandalism, oil well takeovers, and road restrictions hampered transit of supplies.

Oil production was 520,000 barrels per day before the protests.

The public oil industry, private flower and dairy farmers, and tourism enterprises lost $500 million, the production ministry stated.

Sunday, protesters vowed to keep marching until Lasso meets their demands.

"The major concerns have not been won," said CONAIE head Leonidas Iza. Protesters demand fuel price guarantees and a cap on oil and mining growth. "We'll deliver"

Lasso on Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) called for peace and stated a humanitarian convoy was attacked with explosives and Cuenca's hospitals lack oxygen.

CONAIE counts five protester fatalities, but the government claims four civilians died during protests and two others in delayed ambulances.

Sunday, the legislature continued debating a bill to remove Lasso from office, but opposition MPs don't have enough support.
