On Monday, Equiti Group, a provider of online trading technologies and multi-asset financial solutions, inaugurated a new office in Limassol, Cyprus. This is in addition to Equiti's nine other local offices in Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, the Americas, Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

Equiti Group's Cypriot subsidiary, Equiti Global Markets Limited, was awarded a license to conduct business in Europe by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) just over a month before to the inauguration of the new office. The CySEC license marks the seventh regulatory license for the Group.

Mohamed Alahmad, co-founder and chief managing director of Equiti Group, referred to the opening of the new office as a "significant milestone" for the company. The opening of this office, he added, is "a critical component of our global expansion strategy."

Alahmad stated that with the new location, the company will be able to offer its business-to-business product to European brokers under the regulatory oversight of CySEC.

"Cyprus' location in Europe, its EU membership, its burgeoning fintech and FX brokercommunity, investor-friendly environment, and its respected market regulator, CySEC," Alahmad noted in a statement shared with Finance Magnates. The Co-Founder added further that the new office will "leverage" the company's worldwide network and customized liquidity solutions.

Hesham Hasanin, the newly appointed CEO of Equiti Global Areas, remarked that the Cypriot affiliate anticipates replicating the company's performance in other markets. This is despite the fact that Equiti Group has announced additional ambitions to grow its global presence over the next three years. Equiti Group intends to "continue to acquire licenses in other new global markets."

Equiti Brokerage (Seychelles) added margined crypto CFDs to its operations in June, allowing retail clients to trade CFDs on the MetaTrader 5 platform. In early March, the business added MetaTrader 5 to its assortment of products.
