Interactive Brokers will offer overnight trading on U.S. exchange-traded funds

Interactive Brokers clients can now react instantly to market-moving news and trade nearly at any moment, the broker said. Additionally, Overnight Trading Hours on IBEOS will benefit Asian clients of Interactive Brokers seeking access to US equities markets during their trading day.

"Global investors must respond to market-moving news whenever it occurs, not just during typical US market hours," said Interactive Brokers' executive vice president of marketing and product development, Steve Sanders. "With Overnight Trading Hours on IBEOS, our individual and institutional clients now have more trading flexibility and can take advantage of investment opportunities 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

FXI, SPY, EEM, GLD, SLV, DIA, UNG, TLT, IWM, QQQ, USO, SH, RWM, PSQ, AGG, DOG, EWA, EFA, EWJ, IJH, VTI, XLF, XLE, and XLK are among the 24 widely-held US ETFs for which Interactive Brokers offers Overnight Trading on IBEOS.

When may trading on the IBEOS begin?

Overnight Trading Hours on IBEOS are from 8:00 pm ET to 3:30 am ET, with the first session of the week beginning at 8:00 pm ET on Sunday and the last session concluding at 3:30 am ET on Friday. Any trades that occur during Overnight Trading Hours will be settled on time as if they occurred during the next regular trading session for US stocks.

All Interactive Brokers customers with US Stock trading permission will have access to Overnight Trading on IBEOS and will be able to take use of different order types and complimentary overnight market data.

Interactive Brokers clients from more than 200 nations and territories will be able to take advantage of investment opportunities around the clock.
